The Full Story

On the Rocks, is a lively vibrant coastal restaurant and bar. Set above the rocks and sea, the restaurant was originally an old rowing club and has now been transformed into one of the most unique 'alfresco' dining  experiences in South Wales. 

A passion for creating something unforgettable has forged the way in creating ‘The Rocks. The menu focuses on the simple steak - using Hot Steak Rocks to finish your steak, was first inspired to us from a trip to Portugal. Our chefs seal the best cuts of meats and offer them with a selection of delicious sides, sauces and butters for you to create the perfect dish to suit your palette.  The menu is simple and discreet but unforgettable using the best local ingredients.

We believe quality can be found on our doorstep and we showcase this in our carefully curated Drinks Menu. Our mixologists have selected the most impressive Welsh spirits and Lagers and have showcased these in our signature cocktails. The drinks are carefully prepared to transport you to some of the best beach bars in the world whilst staying loyal to our welsh roots.

The atmosphere offers you a relaxed and vibrant experience that will leave you feeling ready to face the world again on Monday. The outdoor terrace reaches out above the water, with a retractable roof and heaters even on the colder days we bring comfort and luxury.  The indoor seating area is intimate and cosy for winter months nestle yourself in the warm and watch the storms ‘On The Rocks’.
